The continuously variable transmission runs in an automatic mode by default. Manual control of the CVT change via paddle shifters located on the steering column is permitted. The CVT will function in an automatic mode that continually changes ratios , while a manual, simulated shift up or down uses preset ratios . In automatic mode you can use the paddle shifters , but the team can return to automatic control if detected through revolutions or motor overload .
