2014 Volkswagen Passat is a supermini produced by the German automaker Volkswagen since 1973 , through six generations of design . Located between the Volkswagen Golf and the Volkswagen Phaeton in the current Volkswagen line and its derivatives have been badged variously as there are Dasher, Santana, Quantum, Magotan , Corsar and Carat .
